(Fay) camera angles in film

                                                                      Shrek:

In the opening scene is Shrek we can see a low angle shot when Shrek is coming out of his toilet from he outside. A low angle shot is effective as it as it gives the audience a sense of that they are sharing the characters perspective, especially when they are looking directly into the camera lens. With using the low angle Shrek can seem powerful and taller then everything else, which gives the audience the sense of superior and everyone is scared of him. You Can also see the background in the shot which makes us feel like we are there and know what is happening.

This scene shows a wide angle shot which helps the audience understand the surroundings and help us know the story in more detail. From this we can see the castle in the far background and 3 of the characters closer to the sense which implies magical surroundings. The wide angle is effective as it shows us the overall setting and the surrounding environment.

This close up shot gives us an understanding of a dramatic effect to show feeling and emotion of a character in the frame. The camera angle chose by the director lets us convey emotions and a variety of shots and angles.
